Maintenance Electrician

A market leader in the building materials industry is looking for a Maintenance Electrician in Toronto, ON. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is a day shift with solid pay.

Responsibilities:

·     Responsible for maintaining all existing equipment plus the installation of new electrical systems, conduits, switches, A/C drives and safety devices

·     Build, installation and start-up of new equipment

·     Perform preventative maintenance (PM) as well as mechanical work

·     Must be able to work with minimal supervision and exercise a high degree of safe working habits

·     Must be a self-motivated, hardworking individual with a strong sense of urgency

Qualifications:

·     Post-secondary education in Electronics/Electrical/Electromechanical field;

·     Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in electrical control panel wiring including

·     Component identification and understanding of component functionality

·     Interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics and implementing it in producing a panel

·     Strong troubleshooting skills – CNC, PLC based equipment

·     Sound knowledge of electrical systems
